Henry's First Rainbow. It was a DOUBLE!

Papi and Jay came over for dinner on the roof. Right as we were about to start the grill, the most insane rainstorm came through, or hailstorm. Gabe held Henry by the door to the roof so that he could watch. Henry loves thunderstorms, just like his Mom. After the sky cleared, there was the most spectacular double rainbow over Brooklyn.

Henry Big Hat

Henry & Olympia

Olympia is the girl in Henry's life. She's three months older but his head is as large as hers so he thinks they are peers. We spent the weekend with Olympia and her parents upstate. Watching the two of them was too cute for words.

Fire Sign

Henry is a Sagittarius. A fire sign. I just read this little bit from an Astrology website: "When the fire element is present, there's a warm radiance, a trust in life's journey and a willingness to take risks." Hmmm. Henry is very happy at the beach. He likes the sand but is NOT into the water. Fire and water.

Rooftop Dinner

We've had some lovely dinners on our roof this summer. Henry likes to watch the sunset.

Oh Bloggedly Blog Blog Blog How I Neglect Thee

I can't seem to figure out how to get pictures more portable, despite multiple jump drives and storage devices so with the fleeting time I have between putting Henry to bed and putting myself to bed I can't bring myself to open this computer - the holy grail of baby photos.

Here's one that's aptly named "Henry's first lemon." It was taken on my birthday last month. We had a beautiful dinner at a local restaurant. Sitting outside, Gabe and I slurped oysters and drank champagne and Henry had his first lemon.

First Signs of a Crawl

Vernita

Vernita is Henry's guardian angel, french tutor, and nanny. Every morning when I kiss Henry goodbye and go off to work, I thank God for Vernita. She is a former netball champion from St. Lucia. Netball is British form of basketball (they don't dribble and there's no backboard). Vernie, as we call her, is very high energy, loves to sing, loves to play and loves Henry best of all. She calls him Prince Henry and he plays the part quite well.

Back blogging

So much time has gone by. 5 or 6 weeks. Henry is bigger, better, braver. Without further ado....

Henry's first trip to Maryland

We had a great Passover weekend with the Chodaks, Greenbergs and Nachsins. Henry got so much love I thought he wouldn't know how to handle it. But he did, with much ease and gratitude.  Henry's first seder was beautiful and after taking a nap on Zayda, he ate some carrots.

Triple date

Last night we went on a triple date...myself, Gabe and Henry. Burgers and beers at our local pub. Henry loves being out and about. We ran into our friend Beth who snapped this family portrait. Henry's teething and like to chew on his dad's arm.

Backburner blog

Three weeks back at work and not an entry in sight. Oh, for the love of Henry. He's huge and happy and I miss him so. Luckily we found him the coolest nanny around who calls him "Prince Henry" and speaks to him in french and creole. Her name is Vernita. Henry loves her.

Some of my favorite pictures of late.
