Henry's First Christmas

Henry was very awake and alert his third week of life. We had a great Christmas with him.

For the Love of Henry

Boxing Henry

Gabe says that Henry is going to be a super athlete. Look at his right hook!

Henry's First Playdate

Henry's first playdate was with his new friend Olympia. Olympia's three months older and three times bigger but Henry didn't seem to care. He took it lying down.

My Boys

Every morning Gabe and Henry have a little cuddle time together. Sometimes I watch them (and photograph them) because it's just about the sweetest thing in the whole world!

Thumbsucker

Henry is a very advanced baby. He found his thumb this first week!
Henry also likes candy bars.

The Bris

Invitation:
Hey, friends and family.  Henry's Bris http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brit_milah is going to be at 2:30pm on Tuesday on his eighth day, which is the custom.  I understand if anyone cannot make it, but we would love to see you, especially Henry.  He loves meeting new people and he's a great listener.  The celebration is at our apartment at 38 Russell Street.  Call me if you want to at 917-376-2782.  Please RSVP so we can determine how much caviar and champagne to buy.

Love and Tremendous Joy,

Gabe and Molly

P.S.
To my family, there are some whose emails I do not have.  Please invite the good ones.

Henry did NOT cry when his foreskin was snipped but Mommy cried. Lucy Eisenstein Waldman was the mohel. She was incredible.

Pearson, Neil and Gabe watch the circumcision. Note the position of their hands.

Everyone Wants to Meet Henry

Henry's social calendar was quite full in the first couple of weeks.

Night Owl

This past summer when Henry was just a wee little thing in the womb, Gabe and I saw an owl early one morning while driving through Connecticut. It was stunning and magical to see a nocturnal bird take flight in daylight. It literally took our breathe away. It was decided that it was a good omen and that the owl would always be a protective spirit for this baby.

It was no surprise that Henry's first week was spent as a night owl. A nocturnal boy, like his dad, Henry slept all day through dozens of visitors and partied all night. Gabe and Henry made videos together while I tried to get some sleep.

Brooklyn Bound

Our ride home from the hospital was in a dramatic rain storm. Henry slept the whole way.
